US · Published Jul 15, 2026
Flooding remains a significant concern in South Texas, particularly along Highway 90 and in the Hill Country, as heavy rainfall continues to impact the region.
According to KSAT Weather Authority meteorologists Justin Horne and Leah Rodriguez, flood warnings have been issued for large portions of the Highway 90 area and the Hill Country.

Impact & Risks

The ongoing flooding poses a high risk of flash floods, particularly in areas west of San Antonio and the Hill Country. Rising river levels, including the West Nueces River, which is in the major flood stage, could lead to further inundation of nearby areas. Communities along rivers and creeks are at heightened risk and should remain vigilant. Road closures have been reported, making travel in affected areas dangerous or impossible. Residents in flood-prone areas are advised to monitor updates closely and prepare for potential evacuations if conditions worsen.
